British Schools Overseas

The BSO Scheme is the UK Department for Education’s voluntary inspection scheme for overseas schools. Overseas schools describing themselves as “British” are subject to recognition by the British government under the voluntary inspection scheme.

The Department for Education (DfE) has put in place arrangements for inspection against a common set of standards that British Schools Overseas can choose to adopt.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is also known as DofE, The Head of State Award, The President's Award Scheme, The International Award for Young People, and the Governor General's Youth Award. The Award is available to all 14-24 year olds and is the world’s leading youth achievement award. IELTS

The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It is managed by the British Council. British Council issues the test reports which are valid for two years following the test.
