About 1Hub

1Hub is open exclusively to parents of GEMS Metropole School students during the year of their joining. This initiative is created to foster a supportive and dynamic business network among our parent community. As a member of 1Hub, you will have the chance to engage with other business owners, actively support one another through introductions, lead sharing, and referrals, and enhance your business acumen through expert-led sessions.

Membership Structure

1Hub is organised to ensure smooth operation and to maximize benefits for all members. The structure includes the following key roles:

• President: Leads the initiative, ensuring everything runs smoothly and aligns with the original purpose of the group.
• Vice President: Supports the President in coordination, administrative aspects of running the group, and deputizing where required.
• CPD Lead: Ensures the best business specialists are arranged for the monthly meetings, providing high-quality continuing professional development.
• Engagement Lead: Supports new member queries and onboards new members, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Visitors Lead: Arranges and hosts any new visitors to the group, ensuring they are supported and have an enjoyable and fruitful visit.
• School Lead: Acts as the link between the group and the school, supporting any arrangement needs and school-related matters.

• Monthly Meetings: Participate in our monthly Business Breakfast meetings, held from 7:45 am to 9:30 am. Attendance is crucial, and if you can't make it, you can send a proxy in your place.
• Guest Visitors: Bring one visitor per month by coordinating with our elected Visitors Engagement Lead, expanding the network and introducing fresh perspectives.
• Student Enterprise Support: Engage with the Think Business Initiative for students. The membership fees contribute to a seed funding pot, which will be invested in student entrepreneurs who are part of the Think Business group, encourage your children to get involved and pitch their innovative ideas to 1Hub members.

Annual Membership Fee

The annual membership fee is 2,000 AED. Please note that 1Hub operates on a not-for-profit basis. All revenue generated from the membership fees will go towards the seed funding pot for the Think Business student entrepreneurs. The investment will be in the best and most viable student business ideas pitched to the 1Hub members each term.

Limited Membership

To ensure a quality experience and effective networking, we have capped our membership at 60 members. Don’t miss out on this exclusive opportunity—register your interest today!

There will be only one member representing a business activity e.g., one restaurant, one salon, one wellbeing coach etc. This will give members exclusivity and the opportunity to grow their business and sales within the school community, with support from the school and other business owners.
