Secondary School Counsellor
Hi! I’m Disha Pasanna, and I’m delighted to be part of the school counselling team at GEMS Metropole. My journey with GEMS Education began in 2021 when I moved to the UAE and joined the team in Sharjah. In 2024, I transitioned to GEMS Metropole , where I look forward to continuing my passion for supporting students and contributing to the Metropole community.
With a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, I have always been passionate about helping students navigate their academic, emotional, and social lives. I believe in building meaningful connections with students and empowering them in their social -emotional journey through tailored therapeutic approaches. My practice incorporates an eclectic blend of methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Behavioral Therapy, as well as inclusive education strategies and safeguarding practices.
I am a licensed Social Counsellor, certified by both the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) and the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai, which enables me to provide professional counselling services .
When I’m not at school, you’ll probably find me planning my next travel adventure or strumming a few tunes on my ukulele—music is my go-to for relaxation and fun!
