Rana Cheikh Ali
Harmony Class and SEN Support Teacher
I am excited to introduce myself as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher at GEMS Metropole in Dubai. With over nine years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to creating inclusive learning environments where every student can succeed, regardless of their unique challenges.
My journey in education began in Lebanon, where I earned my Bachelor’s, Teaching Diploma and Master’s degree in Special Education from Saint-Joseph University. This academic foundation, coupled with my hands-on experience, has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students, including those with autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD and more. I am passionate about using tailored strategies to help each student reach their full potential.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various educational settings, both in Lebanon and Canada where I am certified by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). Most recently, I was part of the faculty at Hillfield Strathallan College in Ontario, where I taught French and implemented differentiated learning strategies for students with Individual Learning Plans. This role reinforced my belief in the importance of personalized education and the impact it can have on students’ growth.
Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, I bring a multicultural perspective to my work, which I believe is essential in today’s diverse educational landscape.
Joining GEMS Metropole marks an exciting new chapter in my professional journey. I look forward to working with the talented team here and contributing to a school community that values inclusivity and the success of every student.
