Shahla Maqbool

Hello! I'm Miss Shahla, the student counsellor at GEMS Metropole School. I recently moved to Dubai from London, UK, and I am thrilled to support your children with their well-being.

Since starting, I've been working to create a calm, peaceful, and safe space for them using holistic counselling therapies.

I have extensive experience working with children, including those who are refugees and trauma victims. With 20 years in the social care and education sector, I am well-equipped to help your children thrive.

On a personal note, I’m energetic and always on the move. Travelling is one of my passions—I often plan holidays at a moment’s notice! I also love exploring new cuisines and cultures, with Turkey being my favourite destination. My three children have accompanied me on adventures since they were born, and we’re all thrilled to embrace this new chapter in Dubai. While I’m looking forward to all that lies ahead, I do miss a good cup of tea!
