Ben Jepson

My name is Ben Jepson and I will be starting at Gems Metropole as part of the Physical Education Department in Augsust. I can’t wait to join your vibrant school and I look forward to teaching both KS3 and KS4 PE. I completed my Physical Education and School Sport Degree at Sheffield Hallam University. Following this I went on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. Both these courses equipped me with great skills and qualities that I am eager to showcase at your school.

I have 3 years teaching experience in the UK and before moving to the UAE I have worked in several secondary schools in Manchester, teaching a vast range of sports, including BTEC and GCSE PE and leading excellent extra-curricular activities. 

I hold a strong emphasis on extra-curricular provision and providing as many opportunities as I can for young people through sport; I can’t wait to be a ‘Metrolpole Mustang’!

In my spare time I love to socialise with my friends and go to the gym to keep fit. I love playing numerous sports such as Football, Tennis and Cricket. In addition, I am a keen Football Coach who has managed Stockport Boys District side at regional level for several years. I have also been a season ticket holder at my local football club Stockport County for 15 years!!

I am extremely passionate about teaching PE and Sport. I strive to create lessons which are innovative, stimulating and which motivate learners to work to their full potential. I always aim to create an inclusive environment which meets the needs of all learners and I am fully committed in my teaching practice.
